11 people were in attendance for last nights game vs. the Lowell Devils. I will assume they did not enjoy themselves. The pens took this one on the road 5-0, and there was one fight to speak of. Deryk Engelland gets the win vs. Brad Mills.

The team really stepped up this time, and took advantage of a sluggish Hershey squad who was finishing up a 3-in-3 to hold onto the 5-4 win in Hershey. Despite just being 2 points, this win helped to solidify the team into a family, a theme that carried the Pens deep into the playoffs last year.
Stone vs. Giroux
Stone gets the Gordie Howe hat trick in this one!
I will call this a draw, but let me know your thoughts. Giroux’s only real punch came while Stone had his gloves on and his stick in his hands. Giroux does get the nice takedown in lieu of fighting. Giroux also was called for an instigator on this one.

Tough Shoot-out loss here, but I guess if you have to lose to someone - at least it was a great former teammate. Curtis McLean scored two goals in the shootout to seal this one for the SoundTigers. The pens did a great job digging themselves out of an early hole, and battled for that point.
1-1/2 fights in this one.
Engelland vs. Pitton
This is a class Deryk Engelland fight. In control the whole time, trades some bombs, and gets the win. Nice job Deryk. I have another video of this to post, but for the time being here is this one.
Cote vs. Comeau
I really count this as about 1/2 a fight. The check that Cote delivers before the hit to Comeau’s teammate is included in the video, and should be one of the biggest of the year. The “fight” (notice the quotes) lasted about as long as it takes for two people to fall down. Great hit J.P.!

A tight game here, with WBS coming out on top 4-3, earning their first win of the young season. Play was better as the lines get a little more time to gel. Jeff Taffe was a nice addition, bringing some additional veteran leadership to the ice.
Tonight was a Breast Cancer Awareness night, which is a great cause that has a special place in my heart. This sign was one of the only ones in the arena, but I thought it deserved to be seen here.
One fight tonight, with Aaron Boogaard squaring off with Matt Clackson.
Neither of them fought like a girl. Despite Aaron ending up on the bottom of the pile here, he landed some hard uppercuts early, so I have to give him the slight win on this one. You agree/disagree, post and let me know!

Nice quick little ceremony pre-game today before a drubbing on the ice. Dennis Bonvie paid us a visit to a large amount of applause, and we raised the Eastern Conference Championship Banner.
Game was pretty much over in the first. Dug ourselves too deep a hole with powerplays to make it up against a talented team like Hershey.
One fight in this one.
Richmond vs. Pinizzotto
Not sure if this would classically be considered a draw since there wasn’t much action, or a win to Pinizzotto for pulling Richmond down, then trying to throw a punch after the fight was over. I’ll leave this one up to you. Enjoy.
